All PDKS Devices SAP Integration
An integration project that communicates with fingerprint, facial recognition, RF card, and other attendance devices across the enterprise, collects their records, and exposes them through a service endpoint for SAP whenever needed.
Project Summary
The project started with the goal of communicating with all attendance control devices in the company, collecting records from fingerprint, facial recognition, and RF card sources, and serving that data through a service layer that SAP can consume on demand. This created a single normalized source for attendance records coming from different device brands and models.
In the next phase, whenever a new employee is created in SAP, the same employee is automatically provisioned to all relevant devices. This removed the need for manual re-entry on field devices and established an end-to-end synchronized workflow between HR and shop-floor devices.
An additional monitoring service was also developed to continuously track nearly 200 devices over the network. The service reports disconnected devices, communication failures, or interrupted data flow, giving operations teams early visibility into field issues.
